🌅 Smoking at a Bridge House
Dutch law bans smoking indoors in every house. But a private patio, bench or waterside terrace works exactly like a hotel balcony: keep doors closed, stay discreet, respect neighbours after 22:00.

How do I book a bridge house on Booking.com?

How much does a bridge house cost per night?
Prices start from around €125 per night, with popular houses and weekends costing more (€160–€210+). Always check live Booking.com prices, as rates change with demand and Genius discounts may apply.
Can you smoke weed at a bridge house?
Indoor smoking is banned everywhere in the Netherlands, including bridge houses. But houses with private outdoor space — patios, benches or waterside terraces — give you a private spot outside, the same logic as a hotel balcony. Stay discreet, keep doors closed, and respect the neighbours.
How many people can stay in a bridge house?
A maximum of 2 guests per house, and all guests must be over 21. Children and pets cannot be accommodated. If a house is sold out for your dates, try splitting your stay across two different bridge houses.
Do bridge house prices include breakfast or cleaning?
Bridge houses are self-service suites with coffee and tea facilities — no breakfast included as standard. Check each Booking.com listing for what’s included, the cancellation policy, and check-in instructions (smartphone key, from 4 PM).
Are bridge houses better than hotels in Amsterdam?
They’re different: total privacy, canal views and a memorable stay versus hotel facilities like reception and breakfast. For smokers, the private outdoor space at many houses is a genuine advantage over a standard non-smoking hotel room. Compare both in our smoker-friendly hotels guide.
